Fast pace and entertaining. I enjoy reading second chance rom books and this one didn't disappoint enjoyed the characters and quick exciting read
A great beginning to a second chance at true love. He was from the wrong side of town and she came from money. She wanted to do for herself after her divorce, he came back a changed nan.
Two Week Surrender is my first book by Hayson Manning, but won't be my last. This is a well-written book. The characters are fantastic and lovable. Savannah and Walker's story is loaded with drama, humor and spice. I enjoyed reading Two Week Surrender and look forward to my next book by Hayson Manning. This is a fairly short read, perfect for those with limited time for reading. Two Week Surrender is book 1 of the Hot Nights In Montana Series but can be read as a standalone. This is a complete book, not a cliff-hanger.
I really truly love reading books that have strong, independent women & Savannah is that & more. I love her courage to stand on her own, even though it was hard & heartbreaking she stood her ground.
And holy hotness!! Who doesn't love a gorgeous self made man who makes you want to drool & climb out of the pages.
Loved this book from start to finish. Really love this author & the way she writes with a little humor, a pinch of heartbreak & a whole lot of hotness & love. Brilliant read.
Nothing gets the pages turning and heating up like an unresolved past coming back and filling out a pair of tight jeans and a tee shirt! Hayson Manning knows when to bring on the humor and moderate it with just the right amount of angst and reflection for a great story and characters that stand out. I found myself not only relating to this book but enjoying how this author worked around what could have been an overpowering scenario of anger and awkwardness. Ms. Manning deftly focused on building on the positive elements of attraction that still existed for this couple. This novella felt more like a resolution versus a second chance as both Walker and Savannah still held feelings for each other and it was the right place and right time to be the couple they were always meant to be. A quick read with lots to recommend it Two Week Surrender is a perfect one-book stand!
Two Week Surrender is a second chance story featuring feisty but down on her luck Savannah and Walker, a former bad boy who turned himself around and earned success. Life cut their romance short the first time around, but when their paths cross again, years later, they strike a short-term bargain to get them both what they believe they want. But soon they both need each other more than they want to admit.
Second chance romance isn't an easy trope to do well, but Hayson Manning always finds the perfect balance between angst and hope, past mistakes and future redemption. Thanks to her skill, I easily fell hard for these characters. She invested me in their story--their past as well as their present--and Irooted for them to find a happy-ever-after despite some pretty daunting odds! At times funny, sexy, heartbreaking, sexy, swoony, (oh, and did I mention sexy?), Two Week Surrender is a keeper!!!
This story is about Savannah who is shocked when the one person that she didn't think she would ever see again walks into her diner. Walker left her many years ago without a look back. He turned his life around and was doing quite well for himself. Savannah, on the other hand, is struggling to stay afloat with the diner. She has been under the control of others like her father and her ex husband that she wants her independence and doesn't want any help.
Walker crosses the line by paying off Savannah's debt to the bank for the diner. She is not happy that he paid her debt and plans on paying him back. Savannah and Walker come to an agreement that will help her debt be wiped clean if she can teach him to be domesticated. She reluctantly agrees but asks him to teach her how to be wild. It is a two week plan because Walker will be heading back home after that.
I recommend that you read this great story. Find out what happens with Walker and Savannah. Will they give into sexual tension they feel? Is Savannah able to wipe her debt clean with trying to domesticate him? Will Walker walk away from her yet again and leave her heartbroken? This is a must read!
